There are photos of medical problems, info about chronic health problems, honest discussion of the bad traits that our beloved hounds exhibit, finding a breeder, how to groom properly, feeding (the good, the bad and the terrible and how to tell them apart), and training (like what works and what doesn't).
Interspersed are stories from your Drool friends, pictures of lots of basset hounds -- more information than you would ever imagine and that you WILL need or want eventually.

Sure it takes a bunch of paper but paper's cheap and I want to be able to enjoy the cookbook and find the info when needed.

I meant to buy the Montana Basset Rescue book earlier this month, but the holidays got in the way, so tonight I went to the web site and purchased. (The books are downloads.) I read the cook book first and it's really, really good. Mama may be cooking doggie stuff tomorrow, I'm inspired. Right now, however, I'm in the process of reading "Forever Home," the main book on adopting a rescue basset. I'm on page 26 out of 86, and all I have to say is WOW, this is really good and a fun read. And to get both books for only $12 is amazing, they're worth a lot more than that. If you have $12 to spare go order your set, I'm really glad I did.
